I'm starting to wonder...

....if we are all put here for a certain reason.  because if we are, i can't figure out what mine is.  i'm not particually good at anything that could make me famous/rich.  except for all the awesome story plots floating around my head that i can never get out.  i won't cure cancer/aids/some other big disease.  i definitely won't invent anything that will change the face of the world.  in fact, it seems the only thing i will do is exist.  eventually, i'll pop out some little marleykins but until then, i'm really just here, existing.  i want to have purpose.  not to sound depressing or anything, but without purpose, why get out of bed?  i like my bed and could be very happy there.  and no, going to work doesn't fly as having a purpose.  i go to work so that my hubby doesn't get stuck with all the bills.  he wouldn't like that too much.


if you are reading this (which nobody probably is), maybe you could suggest some good purposes or life changes i can make.  you know, to avoid staying in bed all day.

-there should be a form you have to fill out and a test you have to take before you can be allowed to have children.
-that if you fail the above mentioned test you should have to take a class and then pass the test before you can procreate.
-if you fail to obey these few rules then you are penalized. I haven't thought of a good penalty yet but I will.

Headlines that ___ me off

Sometimes while perusing the online news front I come across a headline that makes some sort of impact on my minute, day, life, etc. Today I found one that really pissed me off. From CNN.com I was assaulted with the following headline: "National Guard: Gay Iraq veteran must leave service". Maybe since I'm not in the military I have no right to comment on how it is ran, but personally how is having a gay person in the army such a problem? Are they worried about that person hitting on the same sex? We already have tons of problems with hetero-couples and sexual harassment. I think it is time that this country stopped concerning itself with private matters (i.e., homosexuals, abortion, etc.) and start worrying about things like drug rings, sex rings, and murders. Who cares if Adam and Steve want to get married? They are people just like Adam and Eve. And if Adam and Eve can serve in the military then so can Adam and Steve.

Phone actress

I just finished a book, to remain nameless due to its embarrassing content, and no it's not dirty. It's just....girly. But in it, three women become phone sex operators. Which they call phone actresses. The book makes it sound incredibly easy to do this and get rich off it. I'm wondering, if A. this could really happen? Could it be that easy? and 2. Could you get rich off of giving men "pleasure" over the phone?

I'm not seriously pondering this as a career move, but who doesn't want to supplement their income with a little extra dough if all you have to say is "oh", "yeah", and "give it to me baby" occasionally while guys indulge in their ultimate fantasy: anonymous sex with no strings, except for the phone cord of course.

Maybe a career change is in order. I'll keep you posted.
