....The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I have read several of his earlier books (Angels and Demons and The DaVinci Code) but never found the time (or interest) to read his others. I bought this book and decided to read it because of where it is set (Washington D.C.) and the intriguing symbology. I am o several chapters in and it is finally starting to pick up. The beginning was a little slow. It has been several years since I read his other two books, but I remember being drawn in immediately. I wonder if this was intentional or just a habit of always wanting things quick and now. There are several characters who I have already made assumptions about. One being, Dr. Sato. Her quick tongue and harsh attitude are a stark contrast to Langdon's. Their dislike is evident even in the beginning of their "relationship". I already have several questions I want answered. And like his earlier books, I feel that Dan (we are on a close personal relationship where I can call him Dan, he calls....well nevermind) will deliver on some and fail on others. Maybe this is to always keep us on our toes.
If you can manage to get past the first couple of chapters, it is well worth the read....
